GVAHA Update regarding COVID-19

Update 3.15.2020

GVAHA is looking to Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) Executive Board as they continue to watch and evaluate the COVID-19 situation.   We will continue give updates as we set dates.

Be advised that tryouts dates and details could still change further as the situation evolves.

Thank you for your continued support. Stay healthy.

Update 3.13.2020

The GVAHA Board is aware of the recent events and uncertainty surrounding the spread of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus). The Board takes its responsibility regarding the safety of its players, coaches, and families very seriously. As such, the Board is suspending all GVAHA activities until further notice. This includes the open skate and coaches game set for March 19th, any remaining practices or games, and any other team activities. The Board will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates for the anticipated date of resumption of activities.

What Parents Have to Say

"I’m extremely impressed with our first year of experience with GV Stars. Wow! The enthusiasm falls from the top down! My son has never excelled in a sport, and usually wants to skip practices after mid season...but he loves hockey and wants to do it more and more! I believe it’s the positive attitudes of the coaches and the structure of the program that makes him feel successful and excited to play!"

"The coaches at GVAHA are doing it RIGHT and we love it there."
First of all, let me thank you and your coaches for the hard work you have all put in again this year! It has been a pleasure to watch these kids grow and get better while having fun! Bravo!
On a personal note, keeping our son in Mites was absolutely the best decision. The puck is on his stuck so much that he has gained confidence immensely in his game.  Let me be a testament for you to other parents pondering moving up if they are on the fence. I left the decision 100% up to you're guidance was spot on!
