Board of Directors
Greg Raad is the president of GVAHA. Greg is responsible for the vision, strategy and overall leadership of GVAHA. He works closely with, and is the primary point of contact for Georgetown Township and the Georgetown Ice Center.
Greg lives in Hudsonville with his wife Stacey and three children. Greg brings a great deal of leadership experience to the board, as he is the CEO of the multi-discipline engineering and surveying firm, Nederveld Inc., in Grand Rapids. Greg has been employed with Nederveld Inc. for the last 21 years. He has been a shareholder in the firm since 2005 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer for Nederveld since 2007. His role as CEO also engages him in operational matters of the company as well as mission, vision and values and development of strategic plans to accomplish company objectives. Their son, Ethan, plays on the GVAHA Travel Midget Team.

Jim Rozema is the Vice President of House Hockey for GVAHA. Jim is the point of contact with the ADRAY Community Hockey League and MITE ADM. Jim is responsible for assisting the Hockey Director with reviewing house hockey player applications; collecting and maintaining participant and parent paperwork; coordinating house evaluation skates; team draft and parent meetings. Jim also serves as the primary point of contact for house policies and issues that may arise and facilitates training of house team managers.
Jim is a licensed, professional civil engineer working in the Grand Rapids office of AECOM. Jim and his wife Lisa live in Grandville with their three boys, Sam, Luke, and Charlie.
WHAT DOES JIM LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“My favorite thing about hockey is stepping onto the ice. Knowing I'm about to get a good workout both mentally and physically really gets me excited.”
Kelli Sterley is the Fundraising Director for GVAHA. Kelli is responsible for coordinating all of the association fundraising activities including maintaining detailed records for each family using the SCRIP program. One of GVAHA core purposes is to help defray the expenses associated with playing ice hockey. Kelli works closely with each team to distribute fundraising ideas to help defer the cost.
Kelli and her husband Craig live in Hudsonville with their son, Kobe. Kobe skates as a Squirt at GVAHA and Kelli plays in the Women’s and Coed Leagues at Georgetown.
Kelli works at Holland Special Delivery in Hudsonville as a Network Administrator. Kelli loves helping people save money on their hockey bill and is always looking for fun, new fundraisers that don't require members to ask people to buy items that they don't need. You will often find Kelli visiting with new families and helping them get started with our SCRIP program.
WHAT DOES KELLI LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“I love the team aspect and the respect kids learn. Learning about teamwork and camaraderie within the teams. The confidence it gives players both on and off the ice. Not to mention the physical aspect of playing hockey. There's nothing like a good sweat!”
Mike Hatkowski is the Manager at Georgetown Ice Center and serves on the GVAHA Board. Mike is responsible for the scheduling of all ice time and events held at Georgetown Ice Center. He coordinates all of the Adult Hockey Leagues; supervises the staff at the ice center, including the Co-Hockey Directors; maintaining policies, procedures and safety; and all marketing and promotion for the ice center. Mike is an employee of Georgetown Township as the Ice Center is owned by the township.

Jack Williams serves as the part-time Co-Hockey Director at Georgetown Ice Center. Jack is responsible for setting-up the learn to play, learn to skate, cross ice programs, as well as coordinating coaches for these levels. Jack works in cooperation with the GVAHA VP to coordinate both house and travel GVAHA teams and then works in collaboration with Mike Hatkowski to set the schedules. He also provides opportunities for players to work on skills and development.
Jack and his wife Kelli and two sons live in Grandville.

“It's more than a game, it's a lifestyle. The kids learn to be better hockey players as well as people and are able to make memories that last a lifetime.”
Joel Breazeale serves as the part-time Co-Hockey Director at Georgetown Ice Center. Joel is responsible for setting-up the learn to play, learn to skate, cross ice programs, as well as coordinating coaches for these levels. Joel works in cooperation with the GVAHA VP to coordinate both house and travel GVAHA teams and then works in collaboration with Mike Hatkowski to set the schedules. He also provides opportunities for players to work on skills and development.
Joel and his wife Kate recently moved back to Jenison after living in Grandville for the past 16 years. Joel currently serves as the Dean of Students at Grandville High School and Varsity Hockey Coach.
Their children, Michael, Thomas, and David, all grew up playing hockey. All 3 played at GVAHA while Joel was hockey director and all 3 have played or are presently playing for Grandville.

WHAT DOES JOEL LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“As an adult/coach I love the relationships and helping in the development and growth of players, coaches and programs and critical initiatives for the betterment and growth of youth hockey. For example starting the first cross-ice program in Michigan, maybe the USA (at Kentwood), developing the first cross-ice jamboree in the USA, growing GVAHA from 5 teams to 14 in 3 seasons or developing Grandville Hockey into the program it is now. This is what I LOVE!”
Cori Wilson serves as the Secretary for GVAHA. She is responsible for keeping minutes of all GVAHA board meetings, all charitable / giving back activities and Hockey Weekend Across America activities. Cori serves as the point of contact for the Heath Timmer Youth Hockey Endowment Fund and for any hockey scholarships offered to association members.
Cori and her husband Chris live in Hudsonville. Her son Peyton plays on the Midget Travel Team this season.
WHAT DOES CORI LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“I love that in hockey my son is tested on and off the ice and that he is coached on how to rise to that challenge. I love the community that hockey creates and am proud for my family to be a part of GVAHA.”
Audra serves as the Treasurer for GVAHA. She is responsible for managing all accounts, preparation of budgets and reports, and works with the Board of Directors, Township and Team Managers on all financial roles and responsibilities. Audra is an elementary Special Education Teacher for West Ottawa Public Schools. She and her husband, Dave live in Zeeland with their boys, Ben and Caleb.
WHAT DOES AUDRA LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“I love hockey because all my boys love hockey! My husband grew up on the ice as a player, ref, and now coach, and my boys are following in his steps. Hockey teaches them life lessons about working hard, being focused on a goal, and the importance of working with others. And as an added bonus, they sleep much better on hockey nights! ”
Rebecca VanDenBerg serves as the Communications Director for GVAHA. Rebecca is responsible for the GVAHA website, e-blasts, newsletters, yearbook production, and all communications to GVAHA Members.
Rebecca and her husband, David, live in Hudsonville. Their children, Derek, Kyle and Kelsey all enjoy skating and playing hockey.
Rebecca is the owner of a website development and digital marketing business. She works as a website developer, consultant and social media specialist in Grandville.
WHAT DOES REBECCA LOVE ABOUT HOCKEY?
“First, I love to skate. I’m a terrible hockey player compared to my kids, but I love to skate. I love the emotional roller coaster of being completely consumed with my kids' games. I love to encourage my kids to work hard, be humble and most importantly be a good teammate.”
